Santa Cruz Zero Emission Passenger Rail and Trail
The Santa Cruz County Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) is providing information related to Milestone 2 of the Zero Emission Passenger Rail and Trail (ZEPRT) Project Concept Report development. This virtual open house provides information about the project’s initial conceptual alignment and initial analysis of potential rail vehicle types. The RTC solicited community feedback on this online open house from June 6 through July 18, 2024.
Feedback received from the in-person open houses (held in June 2024) and this online open house will help inform refinements to the conceptual alignment in the development of the Santa Cruz Branch Rail Line and Coastal Rail Trail Segments 13–20 as well as the Capitola Trestle reach (Segment 11, Phase 2). RTC anticipates additional public engagement, including review of the refined conceptual alignment, in fall 2024.
